Your Private Mountain Chalet – A Place to Arrive and Breathe Perched above the village with sweeping views of the majestic Gastein mountains, Chalet Franzi welcomes you as a retreat full of tranquility, alpine charm, and comfort. The entire chalet is exclusively yours – perfect for families and friends seeking privacy, relaxation, and unforgettable moments together. Spread over two spacious floors, the chalet comfortably accommodates up to 9 guests: The upper level features a bright living room with a sofa bed, a modern bathroom with a shower, and a separate WC. The lower level offers another bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub, along with a separate WC. In winter, ski directly back to the chalet from the slopes – pure ski-in convenience. In the summer, enjoy refreshing moments at the nearby outdoor swimming pool, which is exclusively available to our guests at no charge. Whether you are admiring the ski slopes from the living room window, breathing in the crisp mountain air after a hike that starts right behind the house, or strolling into the village in just ten minutes, at Chalet Franzi, nature, activity, and relaxation come together in harmony. Chalet Franzi is more than just a place to stay. It’s a place where treasured memories are made.

In summer, our guests can access the Solarbad Dorfgastein for free with its different pools as well as water slides.

Arrival from 3 pm

Departure until 10 am

By car: Coming from Salzburg at the entrance south (Infopoint & Stoani) turn and follow the road to the house. Our house is located after 500m on the left side. Parking is right before you reach the house on the right side.

By train: With Eurocity or Railjet right to Dorfgastein. From there it's best to take a taxi. All public transport within the state of Salzburg is completely FREE OF CHARGE for our guests.

Chalet Franzi sits in prime location just at the edge of the woods of Schuhflicker behind it and with spectacular views on the village, the Gastein valley as well as the spectacularly beautiful Bernkogel mountain. Behind our chalet starts one of the many hiking trails and you can check from the living room on the slopes of the  Großarl-Dorfgastein-Ski-Arena. A great local restaurant is in shortest walking distance as well as a great thermal public pool.
