Cancellation policy for Chalet Franzi

IMPORTANT: These cancellation conditions apply exclusively to direct bookings made via our website www.chalet-franzi.com, by email or telephone.

For bookings made via third-party platforms (e.g. Booking.com, Airbnb, etc.), the cancellation policies of the respective platform apply.

1. Cancellation by the guest (direct bookings only)

Cancellation policy for Chalet Franzi:

  • Up to 60 days before arrival: Free cancellation, full refund of all amounts already paid.
  • 59 to 31 days before arrival: 50% of the total price as a cancellation fee, 50% will be refunded.
  • Less than 31 days before arrival: 100% of the total price as a cancellation fee, no refund.
  • In case of no-show: 100% of the total price, no refund.

The decisive factor for calculating the deadline is the date the cancellation is received by the landlord, not the date it was sent.

2. Cancellation by the landlord

  • The landlord can cancel without compensation in cases of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, official orders).
  • If the landlord cancels without a valid reason, all amounts paid will be fully refunded.
  • The landlord is making every effort to find equivalent alternative accommodation.

3. Form of cancellation

  • The cancellation must be made in writing (email, letter).
  • The decisive factor is the date the cancellation is received by the landlord.
  • You will receive written confirmation of the cancellation.

4. Trip cancellation insurance

We strongly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen events (illness, accident).

5. Rebooking

  • Rebookings are treated like cancellations and are subject to the same conditions.
  • New bookings are subject to the prices and availability in effect at that time.
  • Rebookings up to 60 days before arrival are free of charge, provided an alternative date is available.
  • Rebookings are possible between 59 and 31 days before arrival for a processing fee of €50.00.
  • Rebookings less than 31 days before arrival are no longer possible.

6. Early departure

In case of early departure, no pro-rata refund of the rental price will be given.

7. Force Majeure / Corona

In the event of officially mandated travel restrictions or quarantine measures that make travel impossible:

  • Free rebooking to a different period (subject to availability)
  • Or: Voucher for the amount paid, valid for 24 months
  • Refund by individual agreement

8. Refund

  • Refunds are processed within 14 days of cancellation.
  • Refund to the account from which the payment was made
  • Payment service provider processing fees may be retained.
